Summary:
Beyond the role of secretarial tasks, I had arranged numerous corporate events, including
audio/video conferences, management luncheons, business presentations, departmental
excursions, and personalized department festivities. Any given event, internal or external,
would range from 8 to 350 attendees. Responsibilities included arrangement of
transportation, development of event theme, vendor contracting, site inspections,
registration, travel arrangements, lodging reservations, menu selection, creative favors,
caterers and menu and beverage selection . I worked closely with participating vendors as
the overall event coordinator, ensuring schedules were coordinated for a smooth
collaboration. The lines of communication were kept open at all times. My role was to
deliver a successful event, which meant being within budget and coordinating all aspects of
the event. Due to the fact that I enjoyed this role and the responsibilities that came with it,
various responsibilities have been overlooked. This role was one of my niches and allowed
me to showcase me expertise, and God given gifts.
